GAME BRIEFING
How this lens changes the investigation
Dossier aesthetics must not make fiction look verified. Every public block receives one primary provenance label. Research can inform fiction without becoming canon, and fictional events cannot be cited as real-world evidence.
Observable clues
- The primary provenance label and any confidence, date, jurisdiction, spoiler, or review qualifier.
- Whether the source is a public educational edition, historical record, lived-experience account, clinical education, or authored game record.
- Whether a statement is world fact, a character belief, an institutional allegation, a design interpretation, or a game mechanic.
- Whether a deep link leads to public research or protected internal evidence.
Evidence tests
- Assign exactly one primary provenance label to each public content block.
- State when sources disagree or evidence is limited.
- Keep fictional canon and real-world educational claims in separate fields.
- Prevent protected implementation or provider material from entering public HTML.
Do not assume
- Using “classified” styling as proof of authenticity.
- Presenting a character’s diagnosis or belief as omniscient truth.
- Treating research inspiration as canonical plot fact.
- Publishing internal architecture because it exists in the report vault.
Gameplay outcomes
- Lets visitors learn without confusing the game with real institutions or clinical guidance.
- Preserves public trust and source traceability.
- Keeps spoiler compartments additive rather than rewriting educational fact.
FICTIONAL PRACTICE // NO ANSWER STORED
Work the lens before revealing the reasoning
A GLASSHOUSE dossier states that Meridian altered a clinical record, while a public methodology page explains how institutional records can contain incentives and error.
Meridian altered the record in the authored game case.
Institutions may have incentives that shape records.
A diagnosis does not decide whether an event happened.
GLASSHOUSE reveals an additional fictional source set.
Label each card without allowing one category to prove another.

Defensible result
The cards remain FICTIONAL ROGUEINTELLIGENCE.ORG, REAL-WORLD INTERPRETIVE, CLINICAL EDUCATION — NOT DIAGNOSIS, and GAME MECHANIC respectively.
Why
- The fictional alteration is canon only inside the authored story.
- The real-world lesson is broader and evidence-limited.
- The clinical boundary is educational, not diagnostic.
- The unlock mechanism has no authority over real-world claims.
Common reasoning failure
Letting a convincing dossier design blur fiction, research, clinical education, and gameplay into one authority layer.
Accessibility: The exercise is a static text comparison followed by an optional disclosure containing the worked reasoning. No answer is submitted, scored, timed, or stored.
Privacy: The exercise runs entirely as rendered HTML. PsychologicalWar.org does not receive or retain a visitor answer.
The elevated source set adds an operational explanation without replacing the public evidence chain.
